Tanya Rosen is the co-owner of Shape Fitness in Flatbush. As a certified and experienced Personal Trainer, Aerobics Instructor, and nutritionist, Tanya offers these three services to the community. Tanya specializes in prenatal & postnatal fitness, and is best known for her personal and caring approach towards every member of the Shape Fitness family.
Abby Hessney has been working in business and management for the past 10 years. With her many years of knowledge and experience, combined with her love for health and fitness, she along with Tanya Rosen saw the vision for Shape Fitness. In May 2009, together they opened Shape Fitness in Flatbush, Brooklyn.
Chani Shulevitz was born and raised in Israel. She babysat most of her teen years and worked in 3 different play groups. Chani loves kids and she also loves to sing and dance. Her father is a personal trainer and a nutritionist, and she was raised to always exercise and eat healthy! She is now home with her two sons and enjoys playing with the yummy kids at Shape!!
I am currently a student at Brooklyn College in the pursuit of my BS degree in Health and Nutrition. I have been working at Shape Fitness for the past two years. Shape Fitness has introduced a whole different world of fitness and health to me. Being that I am pursuing a career in Health and Nutrition, I am being thoroughly introduced to the importance of nutrition by professionals in the field and working for Shape Fitness gives me an opportunity to be equally surrounded by fitness professionals as well. I am looking forward to what is yet to come!
I graduated from Hunter College with a BA in Psychology and Sociology. Currently I am in pursuit of a Masters degree in Psychology. I have been working at Shape Fitness for the past 4 months. Working at Shape has given me a better knowledge of fitness that I find really helpful and rewarding.

With fun and interesting dance moves and great music, you won't even realize that an hour passed by. By combining high impact dance and aerobics you get a really great workout and leave drenched. I've been dancing since I was a kid. For the past ten years I have been teaching kids and adults. I give my all to each class and try to make it as fun, new and interesting as it can get while burning those pounds!!!!! Get ready to sweat and have fun!!!!!
Dina Kraiem aka Dinalatina is a certified ACE fitness and zumba fitness instructor. Dina has been dancing all her life. She believes that if you can walk you can dance! She is not afraid to challenge her students mentally and physically because she believes that with conditioning anybody can step up to the challenge! She preps each zumba class making sure to work all areas of the body for an intense and complete cardio/toning exciting workout!
As for the famous question..'Is she Latin?' Well, she is not from Latin America but she says "I'm pretty certain I'm Latina somehow! ;)"
After receiving a BS in computer science, having my first baby, and appearing as a success story in a Shape magazine, I realized (with the support of my husband) that computers are not my passion. Health is.
I got certified and have been a personal trainer for the past 8 years. Together with personal trainer’s certification I received certification in Sports Yoga. The idea of Sports Yoga is to combine basic yoga moves in order to improve one’s everyday lifestyle. I am also qualified to teach pre- and postnatal classes as well as build routines for people having minor back concerns.
Throughout these years I’ve worked in Equinox (Manhattan), Bally Total Fitness (Brooklyn), Lucille Roberts (where I was awarded for”Outstanding Personal Training sales”). Currently I am working at SHAPE as well as teaching healthy lifestyle to my own clients.
Besides being a personal trainer I am also a full time mom. So, I completely understand how challenging it is to find the time for yourself, but also how rewarding that is at the end.
After graduating with a BS in Nutrition, I became a Registered Dietitian and currently work in this field with women and children. Soon after, stemming from my love of fitness and health, I certified as a Group Fitness Instructor through ACE. My main objective when teaching a class is to be positive and enthusiastic, pushing my clients to reach their max.
Fitness is my life! I love what I do, and don't consider it a job at all. Exercise is the highlight of my day and I never consider it a pressure or something I must do. I love sports! And on my free time play competitive basketball, and paddleball with my friends, nothing beats being active outdoors! I ran 3 races this past spring in Central park, the biggest one was the mini 10K, and it was an amazing thrill and accomplishment. My goal is to run the half marathon in the near future.
When I'm not teaching at shape or taking one of their amazing classes, I jog the Coney island boardwalk which is a few minutes from my house, the 5 mile jog (on the boardwalk) has the most amazing views of the beaches, nothing relaxes you more than the smell of the ocean and the sound of the waves crashing against the sand. Rivkah Bronchtain is a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor. She has been training clients for over 4 years. She recently got married and moved to Brooklyn from Montreal, Canada. She has a very diverse background, having trained clients in various settings, ranging from the Montreal Y, to private gyms as well as in the home setting. Some of her clients have gone on to run or dive competitively, including a member of the Canadian Olympic diving team.
Rivkah's goal is to help her clients reach their maximum fitness level within the constraints of their other life activities and obligations. Rivka completed her studies and training at CEGEP Marie-Victorin, and also specializes in: kick boxing, step, aerobics and spinning training. She also holds a CALA (aquafitness) certification.
